Genuine leather is far more durable and ages beautifully; bonded leather is cheaper but tends to peel over time.

Full-grain genuine leather performs well; avoid bonded leather in high heat as it deteriorates and peels faster.

Wipe the surface with a lightly damp cloth regularly and apply a quality leather conditioner every 6 to 12 months.
